Ice Rod Rack
« on: Nov 07, 2019, 02:41 PM »
Anybody have any pics/designs of their homemade ice rod rack that they'd like to share?  I made one out of 1" PVC cut in to 6" pieces, then screwed in to a 2x4 with feet on each end, but I wanted to see if there are any better ideas to store rods in a basement/garage.

That's pretty slick!  I may have to put something together like that. Is it all glued, or can you expand it if you ever wanted to add more?

Everything is glued except the bases, so I guess I could add another row if I wanted. Still working on a wooden rod rack for my ice rods in the den though, the PVC one will be in the Mud Room to thaw out ice rods after use.  I'm also making a larger PVC version(open-water) for the garage.

1" but don't use the schedule 40, use the thinner walled PVC.
