Looking forward to hopefully fishing this derby again this coming weekend on the Fulton Chain but also watching the forecast closely.  Has anyone local heard anything about the status this year??

Top is getting really sloppy with the sun and all the run off from the snow melt..   Above freezing every night this week with rain on Saturday...    I was out yesterday and it was sketchy getting off. Good thing I had my spud....   Good luck in the derby...   Fire and Lights at Arrow Head Park Saturday night and fireworks at 700 pm....

I spoke with one of the organizers yesterday and they will be out to measure the ice and make the call on Thursday any reports in the interim would be helpful!

I am working on 4th lake down by petrie rd and it did get pretty wet out there today, but we did not get anywhere near the rain they were calling for and the temp.never got above 45 Monday or Tuesday and it was fogy/cloudy both days.today the sun was out till noon and it got up around 55.there was a guy out there on a wheeler today came from somewhere over by alger and got off at the petrie rd access. tonight low temp.19,tomorrow night 22,and Friday night 28.should tighten things right back up.high temps.in the mid 30's,still have not heard if there is a vintage race this weekend or not,if there is,that will really fill up the launch with trucks and trailers.

there was 3 people ice skating today out towards the light house this morning ,then in the afternoon there was 5 or 6 people out beyond the light house, looked to be between daikers and alger, they were not moving much,so I think they were ice fishing, didnt have binoculars,so I could not really tell.i don't think the ice got hurt very much,if at all.other then the snow got washed off and it is glare ice now.i checked 3rd lake creek and a few other streams that dump into the chain and they are flowing, but not that hard.never got above freezing today.
