LATE SEASON BACKPACKING IN THE WILDERNESS AREA (W\PICS)

TOOK A LITTLE 3 DAY TRIP UP INTO THE CLOUD PEAK WILDERNESS AREA FOR SOME LATE SEASON BACKPACKING AND CUTTIES.  THE FISHING WAS GREAT AND THE VIEWS SPECTACULAR.

We were surrounded by a herd of 30 or so in a huge snow storm.  We just sat there under a pine listening for a hour or so.  Finished our hike back to camp and still heard them bugling for hours

Well let me tell ya.  I am hunting some "drive up" elk later this year.  You know shoot and drive up.  The herd bull was pushin cows everywhere.  We only saw him once and let me tell you "sweet".
