Wax alternative on Smitty Skis?
« on: Dec 19, 2018, 07:34 AM »
Couldn't pass up the 75% off at Goodwill yesterday so I picked up a pair of skis for $7 and built myself a sled.  Has anyone used an alternative to wax such as a spray on silicone or perhaps a non-chloric, silicon-based kitchen lubricant such as Clark Griswold invented?

A good ski wax will stay on much longer.

Right tool for right job.

Ski Wax that is ironed on will stay on pretty good if you stay out of the gravel and pavement.
Any day on the ice with little to no wind, is a darn good day.
