Just wondering what you guys use out there for type/size hooks. I'm thinking about trying a little hardwater catfishing this year. I will be using jig rods and tip-ups.

Use hook appropriate to bait...that's my rule.  I only fished like I was fishing for crappies bigger than 10".

For fathead minnow and number 2 hook...go up or down a size depending on how big the fish you're targeting is.

Other than that...lures with trebles size 10 or larger.  I think the size three Salmo Chubby Darter has a size 12 treble hooks.
