Yep I remember !!!!  My Dad bought his first snowblower AFTER he and my brother shoveled us out !!!

I lived in Connecticut at that time. But remember news paper articles about it.

 Neighbors up the road son had phenomena
 Me and his brother took our snowmobiles to get medicine, we went up route 11 , all you could see was the very tops of the antenna on the cars  , they cleared a path for 1 way traffic , for a week , 1 way to town and a different route home ,
 Just think we average 143” snow annually and we got all that in short order with big winds

Remember it well we ran a full service gas station with wrecker service in Sandy Creek,schools where closed for a week

I was a freshman at Clarkson in 1966 and remember that storm.  I lived on first floor of a dormitory and snow drifted up over windows. It was like living in a dark room.  Streets looked like canyons after plowing.  For fun, we jumped off top of dorm building into 15 feet plus of snow.  We were not as smart as we looked!

A few of our states meteorologists have said there is the "potential" for a weather pattern similar to what we had in 1977-78. I hope they're wrong.  ::)
