Lake Champlain Plattsburgh area question?
« on: Dec 03, 2020, 05:34 PM »
Planning a trip to Plattsburgh area for the first weekend in February 2021, just curious as what bays usually freeze up the best and good access points.  Kinda looking for a mixed bag, we will be staying from Thursday to Sunday so maybe a day of perch n pike then a day of trying for Lakers?  Also is there anything close by for a backup plan if for some reason Champlain isn’t safe? And 1 last thing bait shops in the area ?  Thanks for any info in advance

There should be a few bays frozen over by then.   Could always try  Willsboro Bay..

Try Cumberland bay or Tredwall bay for perch and Kings bay always has a ton of pike in it the ice should be good to go by then…good luck
