I try to support the shops closest to my fishing spots...no one is getting rich selling bait.  Whatever "savings" you might find driving around you probably spend on gas

Developing a relationship with your bait shop pays in the long run with local information ..so hitting the "local" on the way to/near your fishing destination will pay off in dividends of information . Spread the wealth ..you both will be rewarded.

Davenport's on Sodus Bay usually has some of the best pike bait and fatheads available. They don't count the small minnows so you always get more and they are very generous, larger minnows are counted but they often add a couple for good luck.  @)

Usually everything with bait is frozen, bait laws are annoying and i only buy a dozen every week to 2 weeks so if they all do die I didn’t waste my money
