Any guesses when Gravelpit lake will freeze over so we can walk on.
Nov 21 will be my guess.

Had the same frozen puddles here last night, 29 deg F here now, supposed to get down to 14.

Had fresh snow on the mountain this AM too. Should get the deer and elk moving

Yeah weather is starting to cool down here to. Elk are bugelling and moose are calling. Heading out hunting in a couple hours as soon as I can get out of this place we call work

Oh it wasn't to bad of a summer, and do I have some stories to tell. Hope you got that hunting thing done cause its almost time. Dad picked up a new tent too, so we'll work on getting him out this year. Besides i'm working on getting a sled so hopefully I'll be smiling on chrsitmas day!!!

I pick Rememberance Day..........I'd like to say that I'm itchin to get on the ice, but the truth is I'm sadder that I have to put my new Baby away for the winter with only one ocean voyage under her belt. ( 19 1/2 ft Bayliner Cuddy). Named her "DevilFish" after the 2 Grey Whales that tried to give us
the Fonzerelli " Malachi Crunch" on our first trip to the Work Channel with her.....Me, DarthWalter and Fishmann nearly crapped our pants when one Whale had a good look at us from about 6 ft behind while we were physically bumping into another at the front!

Well I was on Gravel pit ice about an hour ago after work. A family was there running their dog. Had a couple kids in the truck warming up. They were horsing around and fell thru in about 3 feet of water off the far point.
I went out about 8 feet from shore and jumped up and down and it sagged some and cracked in another spot so I made a quick retreat. Not quite safe yet.

So far our winter sucks!!!!!!!
Just as we finally get some ice building up we get a foot of snow!!!!

Some of the lakes are already sinking and the slush is building.

And Sunday it's supposed to be above freezing with rain!!!!!
