GSLFF are they still stocking trout? Waste, I think this year walleye if true it's about time.

I don't know about trout. They stocked a crap load of 8-10" walleye fry the past two falls, I was told.

Come to think of it, google their website. You can read all about the stocking program and see photos of the actual stocking of the lake.

Especially for stocked fish :afro:

They haven't stocked walleye's in this lake since the '70's...The GSLFF did put about 4000 small ones in last fall....hunts2long

There was more ice up in the Northville area, but most of the GSL has no ice on it yet.  And the temps this week are going to be rather mild for ice making.  Mayfield Lake on the other hand had a good solid 5 inches of black ice which provided for excellent fishing this past weekend  :icefish:

Mailings went out on the first of Nov.It booked up in 29 days. Not bad for an icefishing tournament, and the ice is not even there yet.Hello hunts2long,The walleye's in the lake are doing OK just from their own spawn. Most of which happens north of the bridge.

Did you hear of any pike being caught through the ice this past weekend where you fished?  I was out by the point and between the PH bay. Got lots of fish but no pike. I heard someone caught one there. But it wasn't anywhere near where I was.

Wow really?  I was out there again today too. Only for about 40 minutes. I managed a few crappie and a bass.

We have fished all of the walleye challenges so far (5 of us) and haven't cashed in yet. (I think this is going to be our year), even if there are 250 more to compete against. It is a great contest that is run very well.
