Mofish I hope it doesn't piss people off but maybe make them think when they are just about to kill a big spawning female maybe they should let her swim to preserve our fisheries.  I keep plenty of walleye, perch and salmon to eat throughout the year but release way more than I keep. I also will not keep a big female winter or summer unless the fish is going to die.   I hear all the time that this fish is kept for the wall but in this day and age exact replicas look better and last longer than real skin mounts. I truly believe people just have a hard time releasing fish to give someone else a thrill another day. I don't mean for this to piss people off either but it's my opinion. If more people would practice selective harvest our fisheries would be incredible. Good luck on the water everyone.
the bigger the walleye the less the eggs are fertile. Don't say anthing unless you have facts.the smaller ones arethe breeders

That was my original thought but I thought it might be to small to read/see? I'll try it and see what happens.

Thats a dandy sauger, I've caught a bunch at Loma on the Marias river but they were only a little over half that size.  Great work mthuntr, and nice work on the release ;)

Vicster--where is over here, as there are quite a few places all over the state that have crappies somewhat close to them?

The two pics I see are both lake trout... look at the deeply forked tail fins and all the markings on the side...good work SnowedOut.
