Thanks fellas! It was a trip dreams are made of! Hag, it was on a live minnow setup. Sorry but it was at Notellum Lake. 8lb test line, had a long fight and a heck of a time getting that head through the hole! Released to thrill someone else.

I'd make a rough guess of 15-20 lbs. Only thing we had to compare to was my ice scoop, it's 16" + the scoop part, and it was over double 2 lengths of it. Hard telling, it was dark and we were in a hurry to get it back down the hole.

I found that Notellum Lake one time... It was in the next drainage over from Upchit Creek

Lol, alright guys. If anyone wants to pm me I will give the location of where Notellum Lake was on that particular weekend and what to look for but not "the spot". I've managed to find a spot that'll produce one of these fairly regularly. (like once a year) I don't mind helping out at all, just don't want to be rubbing elbows or flooding the lake with a fisherman gold rush.

I can fully understand. If I found a honey hole I wouldn't give it up either. Great fish!

I don't need to know where you were cold hole. I was just being silly replying to the upchit creek post. I think it's cool that you found and have a spot like that! Nothin is sacred anymore especially if everybody knows where its at! Good for you and great job on the fish they are nice! Don't take my cantellya post wrong, I didn't post that to guilt you. I'm sorry. I should have thought more before I posted that. That wasn't my intention at all. Keep posting them pics they're awesome!

What he said... I wasn't trying to offend anyone with the upchit creek comment... just trying to have a little humor today. If I had a honey hole I wouldn't be telling everyone...

I do have to say that more than one member on this board has helped me tremendously with info on fishing new waters, and I try to return the favor with what little bit of info I get. Thanks guys!
