What are you interested in targeting?

If you're looking for pike....  Quaker
If you're looking for trout....  Toss Up (leaning to Red House on account of size)
If you're looking for panfish....  Red House

Not really.  I mean, if you're not dragging too much, you can make the walk, but, best to drive and park along the road (ASP Rt 1, I think).  This would also apply if you stay in Red House Area and fish Red House Lake.  MOst of the year-round cabins are a fair stretch from the Lakes, both areas.

both lakes have plenty of fish,i catch more gills at redhouse, but there smaller than what i catch at quaker. w ent 2 redhouse 2-27-07 caught 75 gills kept 20,also caught 2 brookies. i fished 17 foot of water ,just north of spillway. i drilled 40 holes before me &my icemachine found fish. if you fish quaker go 1/4 mile past tollbooth find 10-12 foot of water&you'll find bigger gills, also northerns. ps-make sure you have waterproof boots,7" of clear ice,7"of white ice & 5-6" of slush water on top, good luck!!!!!!! 8)

ill help you with the basics, but you gotta find your own spot ;)

quaker, dont go too deep, and find a little cove. also, for my best results, i stay between the spillway and the middle of the pines, both sides of the lake. its not a big lake, spend a little time and youll find your little spot.

red house, i dont know alot of people that fish it regularly, but for me WHEN i go, which isnt often on the hardwater i stay in front of the big house  i have heard of much better spots, but i usually spend most of my time on quaker when i go to ASP

We fish  a lot down on Quaker for the northern and I like just past the toll both at tree line. go to the right, in front of the pines 15-8 fow w/ chubs and shiners. Good luck the pike are fun!!!
Enjoy it while you got it!

I caught 5 pike today between 20" and 28" in anywhere from 6' to 20' using 4" to 7" chubs. The wife is cooking them now, starting to smell pretty good.
