You dont fish within 50' of another fisherman on the ice, kinda giveing a guy his space to fish.

So if my fish is on the ice for more than 5sec I cant eat it unless its 50' away? Man, ice fishing is complicated!

So, if my fish is on the ice for more than 5 seconds, and someone is less than 50 feet away, they can eat it? LOL
I am looking forward to having some fun, meeting some new people, and maybe, just maybe, catching a fish or two.
Anyone without a shelter, look us up, we will have the heat cranking, stop by and say hi, warm up a little, and share a story or two. (BTW, you can stop by even if you do have a shanty) Lets all put some fish on Shabbona ice!

Stanmo and Robar144, 6x12 Black Cabela's shanty, and hopefully fish all over the ice.

Went out today in DuPage, Perch and Gillls are still hitting hard here, best setup, a Fiskas Balance in Glow color, tipped with a wax worm. Literally took longer for the jig to sink to the bottom, than to reel the next one in. The Gills were almost on the bottom with the Perch today, and no Crappie. 14'ow. There were times the Showdown screen turned solid Black, I had no idea where I was, the fish were so heavy. Hmm. Hope it lasts

I'm starting out with my buddy trying for some eyes for a couple hours if no fish then trees. Black Ford Expedition. Black S3000 shappel with a PVC cage on it when traveling.

Anybody get anything? Robar and I met up with Fishingene, and his buddy Ron, (great guys) I believe between the 4 of us, there was one small gill caught. (By Gene). We had trouble even marking fish, let alone trying to catch any. A beautiful day though, a bit chilly, but not as bad as we thought. Wish we could have met more members, but that is a big lake, and the shanties were pretty spead out. Next trip, North to The Chain, or Bangs maybe. We have been getting quantities of fish here in DuPage, but would like a shot at some sizable fish willing to pose briefly for the camera.

had a good time, met a few new fisherman. caught A bluegill. happy i caught that on my first trip there
this year. hope to do better next time im there.
