South Bend Blizzard rods
« on: Aug 01, 2013, 07:43 PM »
I have been searching for a South Bend Blizzard jigging rod in 30 inch medium or 24 or 26 inch light versions but can't seem to find any.  I ended up calling South Bend and they said they stopped making them, go figure just my luck, and that I should try stores to see if anyone has some left.  Does anyone know of a place that has any of the South Bend Blizzard rods in 30 inch medium, or 24 or 26 inch light versions?

Thank you.  I'm getting a couple of ultra-lights now to try to find the medium ones.  I hope I can find at least one.

I got all my south bends from sportsman's also. My favorite southbend is the Klondike. Not quite as stiff as the blizzard.

I tried to google  it and the few places I found were sold out except for the ultralights.  I can't remember if they came in light, medium, and heavy only or if they came in ultralight, light, medium, medium heavy, and heavy.  Does anyone know which weights and lengths they came in?  If someone happens to find a place that has a medium 30 incher and a light in 24 to 30 inches could you please post it here.  Thank you.

I just saw the "new" Blizzard rod that they're selling this year, NOTHING like the one I have.  This one has a carbon fiber handle and can't tell much about the rod shaft.  Call me old fashioned but I prefer the cork handles where the front part screws the reel seat tight.
