Changing lure colors
« on: Oct 12, 2006, 08:45 AM »
I fish this one lake near denver and the perch jig must be a bright color.Chartreuse, pink, pearl glow, etc.

Then I'll fish this lake about 50 miles away, I cannot catch a perch on a bright colored jig. Brown, black or dark grey work.

The first lake is crystal clear, the second lake is murky.

I kinda thought the opposite would happen.

I dunno, I fished murky water a lot last year and yellow/orange, and a hot pink daphnia jig with black eyes were my big colors  ???, but here in Wisconsin ya never know what the fish are thinkin or if they are thinkin "Right"  :D. Tight lines and happy holidays y'all
The fishing is always great, the catching however, always isn't

every lake is different, you cant predict what hook works on a lake until you experiment with it
