Fished the south side of Goose today. Set up over 13 FOW and it was cloudy and off color. Also set up the aqua Vu and saw about 30 trout swim by. Not a single one was interested in my trout offerings. I set up a tipup with a waterdog closer to the island in 8 FOW and picked up two hammerhandles. Left at 1:30.
What a test the Mile has been this year!
Access from the camping spots at Rocking Chair was dicey. There was quite a bit of open water along the shore, maybe 10-20 feet out, that had skim ice ove it in the morning (open when I left). The ice was about 18" near the island. It'll be interesting to follow the ice conditions this week. Could be boating there sooner than later.
