I thinking of getting a pair of Sorel Caribou's this year. I usually just wear my 400 gram work boots with wool sock and my feet stay warm as long as I'm walking around every so often. Toes start to get cold after long periods of jigging though.
Pontiac: I purchased a pair of Sorel Caribou's in Montana when I started graduate school at MSU. Those boots lasted up until last year. Great boot and super warm (Field tested in Montana! ).Picked up a pair of Lacrosse Ice Kings to replace them. Nice and warm, but REALLY BIG AND BULKY! I'm always kicking things around the shanty
That's half the fun isn't it? Listening to your friend(s) complain that you knocked something else down the hole. lol
I had a pair of Rocky's for years. They were more of a work/hunting boot and they were really good. Lasted for years and very well made.
