It's your own risk,  but I watched plenty of trucks driving on big lake,  saw a full size van load a 4 wheeler in it and drive across big lake!  Bunch of trucks on little lake too.  Always use caution!

Thanks! I will probably bring my ranger so I'm not borrowing someone else's equipment. I'm sure they will let us know of any danger spots but we plan on fishing Saturday morning since we have never fished clear lake. I know to stay away from the narrow between the lakes and heard there are aerators but also know to stay away from them too! Not looking for any spots but where would be a good spot to "launch". Used to duck hunt Ventura a lot when we owned a shack up there but have never been on clear.

Guess as long as 90% are the same size we have a pretty equal playing field and just need to find a few in the 10% range.

In the past week, we have taken home over 600 yellows.  Cleaned about 550 of them and they were all the 8-10" range.  You just have to know where to go to get the bigger ones.....   ;D  Had a nice bonus 18" male walleye we got as well.

Could I have the GPS Coordinates for that spot? Nicely done!

I'm sorry, I was trying to be funny.
I've been there three times this winter, myself, and I would think of divulging where I found them OR, as likely, didn't find them.
Good Luck in the Tournament! (Above all, have fun!)

I bet all the Tournament competitors be at this spot sometime during the weekend.

That sounds like a blast (Florida fishing). Too bad though, I think a guy who has a pail full of 7"-8" fish with 5 kicker tens has a heck of a chance of winning it.

On an added note with the tournament. Please everybody respect people's fishing area. If A guy drills a 10 hole line and is working it don't come and fish the hole he's about to move onto. Ik the rules say if it's outside the 20 ft  or whatever the boundary is you're free to fish it..But use some mannors and don't steal someone's hole he's about to fish. Happened to us last year and it's just really dissapointing to see someone with an entire lake to fish and a $400 auger come up and steal the hole you're about to fish. Good luck everyone and be safe!

I won't steal a guys hole if he drills a line. I'll just follow with my marcum and check each hole hahaha jk

I've been catching a lot of crawdads in my minnow traps this winter. Has anyone ever ice fished with them? Just curious if I should try one on a dead stick. I have also been  catching those 3" long giant underwater bugs ( toe biters).  Any thoughts on using either of these? Or just throw them back?

I'd be interested in knowing if crawdads would work, just out of curiosity.  I think it would certainly be worth trying. Everything that can eat them, does.

I will try a crawdad Saturday night, Sunday morning provided I have one in the trap before I go out. I'm not sure if I should drop it all the way to the bottom or 6" off bottom so it doesn't bury itself into the mud.

Not much. The crazy minnow company that's about it. They are pretty mediocre as far as stocking hard water stuff. Pretty much have just enough to get by lol

I'd sell your spot out for $500 cash - should win the tournament!  You honestly expect that he'd tell you where he did that kind of damage?

couple of us caught about a dozen dinks. Seem like they would follow the bait up but not want to bite. Tried different colors, sizes, depth, and bait but no dice. Hopefully something turns around. Tomorrow should be interesting.

Same, tried everywhere. Fish came up, looked, and straight down again. Fought 5-4" yellow perch. Talked to some who found yellow bass, but had to move a ton to find them. It's gonna be a tough day i feel

Think we can all agreen today was slow. 4 of my friends said they didn't even catch a yellow and I only caught maybe 6. Drilled 40-50 holes, didn't mark much either. Let's hope they turn on tommorow, Good Luck everybody!
