Hey all,
Just ordered one to try. I have noticed on just about all nowhere it lists ho much line they hold. I as looking for lil more capacity for deeper fishing. Price wasnt bad at all. Just curious on your opinions.

What one did you buy? The Eagle Claw Magnum has larger capacities, 700 yards/4 pound, 420 yards/6 pound, 300 yards/8 pound.

I just sent my Frabill straightline 2?? Back ! Bought 2 and I couldn't even get the line on! Drag issues of some sort and they were both wobbly as heck loose handle , bad drag location I wasn't impressed at all ! I do have a 12$ HT ent. Walmart special that has worked quite well for shallow water but it doesn't have the free pool so many nwouldnt want to deal with it over 10' personally

Probably holds 200-300 yards of 20# mono. Is that enough?

I picked up the Eagle Claw model this year to try and was planning to load it with 6# fluoro till it seemed evenly full.

well i just got my clam reel in not really sure i like it. No free spool and as drag is pulled the crank spins backward. Is this the norm for these inline reels? I looked at some cheaper eagle claw reels and liked those. The quality of manufacture on the clam reel seems good though.
