Decided to fish Rifle Gap based on some info from some other guys on here, wanted quality over quantity and boy is that the place. I've fished perch in every state known for them and Rifle produced the biggest I've ever seen. Ice was about 10" Fished pike on Saturday because that's what my buddy was after and landed a few but nothing big. Sunday it snowed all day which made pulling the sled off a real treat but it was absolutely worth it. Landed my 20 perch all over 12" two of which were 13 3/4 and 14 1/8 which is over the state record but even my longest was still 5oz short on weight.

You can fish macs anytime. Jumbos like that don't happen all the time.

Yea yea I know! :-\

Decisions must be made, and the perches are twice as much gas usage as the lakers.  Still got 10 perch dinners in the freezer, theyll be there another day.. stop making me question myself dammit! ;D

Not to us that haven't fished there in 10 years.

Besides the hardest part of perch fishing is finding them. ;)
