you know you're getting old....

when you start wishing the flags don't go up because it's too cold :)  Had a good morning on the ice with the wife, the pickerel were biting great with some bass mixed in.  We fished on 5" of ice in a cove.  Melissa got the big one as usual.  will try to put up pics soon!5lbs

sounds like a good day! We had a day in march up on Champlain it was so windy and nasty out we fished from the house we had rented. The flags were going up just fast enough so you could get back to the house and get your boots off. I think we were hoping it slowed down then a little too!

Aqua, it sounds from some of the posts on here water is lower than normal at a few different spots.

was the big area all open water?

drove by ayers today.  about 30% open water....mostly toward the southern end.

Mike that's a nice LM your wife caught.  I fish the lake occationally in the summer.  I'll have to try it ice fishing sometime.
