Day 1 & 2: 60 lakers caught- 16 kept for eating, the rest released unharmed
Day 1 & 2: 15 nice "Whitey Bulgers" caught and soon to be table fare.
Day 1- zero cusk
Day 2- two cusk kept

As the Officials were announcing the scale closure, we stepped up to the scale. The woman announcer said "bring it up, c'mon." The Weigh- master thought differently.....oh well........

Second, congrats, sounds like it was a productive weekend to say the least.

Thanks, it is great to be back...being exiled was killing me, but rest assured that I will exercise great caution with my wording......

I just cooked up our cusk and did not take a picture to post.....

Anyways, it was a great weekend for us thanks to some NH Guide , whom gave us some great insight as to lake trout habitats, not spots, as well as confidence.

I spent the week downloading my old tourney spots from my LMS 160 and transferred them to my hand-held unit and hit the lake running( I forgot how many GPS locations of treasure spots I had). Each spot produced fish.....Now the quest for a monster laker begins.....

We are sending out 5 Whitey Bulgers to Brad (Creative Taxidermy-978-374-7476) for a fish mount that we(Zach, Josh and I) have been collectively accruing fish for..

I have posted several recipes under the thread topic "First 'o' the year cusk chowdah." There are many ways in which they can be cooked, baked, broiled, grilled etc.......a shrimp stuffing goes well with them too......Bon Appetite!!
