Da**..haven't seen that down here in the flat lands yet...but it's getting closer..it was 20 this morning.....Best we've seen so far is ice on the mud puddles from the last 2 weeks (or more) worth of rain......Esox

Saw the 1st ice I've seen this the year around these parts (WNY) this morning. The ditches and puddles were all frozen on the way to work this morning!!! Lets hope it keeps up!!!

this morning on my way to class in wellsville there was a skim just like the picture on the little swamp pond thing just on the left of 417 goin into town....once I saw that, I have had fishin on the mind all day......and just a little huntin

29.5 here in Schenectady at 8:30. There should be some ice on small bodies of water in the morning.

25 in Tully this morning tough in the tree stand with the wind had to be much colder chill factor. puddles were ice but creek had none.

Just went by Hinckle Res about an hour ago and it's completly iced over. Here is a link beacuse i figure people wont belive that.

Hinkley Lake, NG for fishing, don't waste your time.
You should check out the West Canda Creek book, a great read, and it talks about Hinkley being a dead lake due to the draining over the winter time. They tried stocking walleye but with the drain it didn't hold the correct ecosystem to house a health population of fish. $:-\$

Still looks good to have ice on it, meaning that it won't be long till we have ice.

this morning my pool was frozen over and there was a big eight pointer in my back yard. now all i need is for the the Baltimore ravens to win today. o and it would be nice if all the lakes freeze. lol

There was a bit of edge ice on the small lake we cross to get to our hunting watches.. it was a nice site..
I know last year we had to use an oar to bust up the ice to get across the last couple of trips. I did not want to break the beautiful ice

Looks like there is a possiblity of another early season here in the southern Adirondacks
