guarantee the first time she brings one up through the ice she'll be hooked.

That probably will never happen. Can't even get her on the ice, so I have no chance of getting her hooked. Lol . She is too chicken to walk on hard water.

Took my four year old son there today for his first ice fishing trip and fished for 1 hour.  Nothing to show for the effort but some awesome quality time with my new icefishing buddy.  Ice was 4 - 5" and the water was murky (1 1/2' of visibility).  Guys were spread all over and we only saw one perch and one pike iced.

Fished New Years day, and the bite was slow. Fished until 11am. 13.5" and 11.5" perch on my Pike tip-ups, and about a dozen jigging. Didn;t see much movement for flags or tip-downs. Watched the fish's reaction on the ol' Humminbird ICE55 and they were very finicky.
