^^^That's kind of what I'm going for. Tired of running around everywhere trying to find them.

New Utah guy here ! I'm happy I found this site, sounds like a good source of brains to pick. I have started to dust off my equipment for the season and decided to replace my 10 inch auger with a 6 inch electric from Clam. Does anyone have any experience with the Clam unit? (Requires an 18 volt drill body) thanks

Welcome SS.  Do a search on here and you will find lots of info on the plate.  I have seen many dozens of posts about it just search "clam plate" and you will find lots and lots.  I can't tell you anything from experience first or second hand as they would have very limited use up in my neck of the woods.

I forgot to mention that clam drill does seem a bit short. Here's the last thread about it, didn't read through it but it has been locked for some reason

Thanks for the welcome and the information. The Clam unit is scheduled to be delivered today . I will be able to check it out and see if I need the extension they offer.

Thanks again for the welcome! On the subject of getting ready, Scheels has the grabber line of hand and foot warmers on sale @50 percent off. Great time to stock up. I throw a couple of the ultra warmers in with my batteries, keeps em warm.

Good to know.  I need to make it out there soon and stock up.  Thanks for the heads up!
