Moving to the Brainerd area.

My family is moving to the Brainerd/Baxter area this winter.  Anyone here from that area?  Anyone want to share some insight?

The Crosby/Ironton area lakes are usually good, but it'll be a while before we're on the ice around here.

All I can say is LUCKY!  Wow, if you have to move, that is a great place to end up.  You will have more lakes than you could fish in a lifetime there.

Great fishing/hunting destination! Not nearly as much pressure as south of there either.

I moved to the Brainerd area about 20 years ago as something to do. Spent the winter their missed the mountains so came back home to Colorado. Would love to try it again knowing what I do now at least fishing wise
