« on: Feb 12, 2022, 06:01 PM »

It's been a slow season until yesterday. Had a gerat day on Bantam. 22 in largemouth, 21 inch smallmouth and 17 inch crappie yesterday at Bantam on a perfect weather day.

That's a day to remember, congrats!
Maybe someday I'll think of something clever to write here...but I doubt it.

Thanks to all for the responses. I've been out a lot and my usual spots on Bantam haven't been producing much. This day more than made up for it. I iced 3 more smallmouth, and a few yellow perch. I also lost a couple of good fish because of some bad knot tying. I don't mind if I get bitten off by a pike but when the end of my line has that dreaded curly-q on the end, it is pretty embarrassing. Thanks again.

That crappie is a SLAB. Nice work.
Try using an uni knot with tipup or braided line. Very strong knot and easy to tie. Not even a couple lost fish can ruin a day like you had though.
