Title: Another new guy
Post by: Fish4Nate on Jan 27, 2019, 09:43 PM: New guy introducing myself. I have been fishing on open water since I was a kid, but never went ice fishing before Saturday. A buddy has been trying to get me into it for years, but I have always been a snowmobiler in the winter. Gave that up this year due to getting tired of traveling to ride and having a young daughter. Went out to Opossum Lake in Cumberland County and caught my first fish on Saturday. I met delfisher out there and he gave me a few tips, thanks again! I live in the Carlisle area and will likely be fishing Opposum Lake and Holman Lake primarily. May get a trip in to visit my buddy in Northeastern PA or fish at my in-laws in the Syracuse area or the Eastern Shore of Lake Ontario. I have been reading up on here and decided to finally sign up and make a post. Thanks for all the good information!

Post by: rkk2000 on Feb 12, 2019, 05:19 PM: Welcome and enjoy ice fishing. I started ice fishing at 4 years old, but stopped going for many years and have started in backup in the past 5 years. This past weekend I invited some friends (non-fishermen) out for an annual ice fishing trip. Unfortunately it was Saturday and the cold/wind put a hamper on the enjoyment.

Love bass fishing but starting to branch off and having a ton of fun jigging for crappie and gill through the ice. Hope I can help out with posts and point people in the right direction.
