Tiber Report and a few Pics

Fished Tiber Thursday afternoon thru Sun. morning.

First two days were decent, next two days very slow and COLD!

Caught a couple decent pike and walleye.   Biggest pike was 13 lbs. with a 10, 9, 8, and 6 also.

Two walleye about 22 inches and slightly over 3 lbs.

All fish caught on live minnows in 4-16 FOW.

Fished main lake area, about mid-lake down.   Quite a few other folks fishing.  Ice about 12-15 inches, couple pressure ridges.

Looks like it was a great time!! Lots of meat awaiting the freezer and frying pan as well. Nice set-up you have going there!!!

We actually threw back quite a few, but kept the ones pictured for a fish fry we having for a large group of people.

Any large walleye always go back, but I don't mind keeping some of the decent sized pike.

Anything (pike-wise) over 15 goes back unless someone wants one for the wall, and that got to be a 20+ er.

Nice job. Looks like a great weekend. Been trying to get up there all winter. Looks like a "have to" hit spot. I will be a little more motivated for the long drive after seeing your pics.

Were you camped near where the Bootlegger Trail meets the south shore?

Man those photos make me homesick.  
Especially the background in the one of you holding that pike.

Yeah, we came in from S. Bootlegger.

We only caught small ones in the bay so we had tip-ups spreadout over about a five mile area.

There was two of us so we put two here, two there type of thing.
