Hey, new to the forum, pretty cool stuff, I am going to Nelson at the end of the month for a long weekend, just wanted an update on conditions and fishing. Going to Boysen this weekend and next for Winter Carnival Derby.

Went up there before new years and had really bad luck and talked to some guys who said it was just "one of those weekends". Guys that stayed in the room next to us at the hotel did really well but they were down by the boat dock where there was a bloody zoo of shanties. We hooked a few northerns but couldnt get them in on the tip-ups. Those fellas said that they were fishing with little shiners for the walleyes but didnt say what for the northerns. Im thinkn bout headed up there this coming weekend for the tourney but not too sure yet....oh and the ice is friggn thick!
