Title: Transducer cable guard
Post by: maddogg on Feb 08, 2018, 06:22 PM
I've gotten my line wrapped around the transducer cable a few times and I know a hook into the cable can cause problems.
So I'm going to give this a try. It's 1/4 in. spiral tubing above the puck. I'll report back after I try it out.

Isis the same thing with used corrugated tube with full length slit. Then used electrical tape wrapped all around to try and keep water from getting inside and freezing. I had something cute my cable about 2 inches up from the transducer. Luckily Lowrance sent me a new one under the 1 year. Warranty.

I was out 3 times so far it works very well.
Seems flexible enough in the cold and the transducer hangs straight.
