Anyone been on burchard lately and now the ice condition? Been to wanahoo last 2 weekends and was wanting to try burchard this weekend. It would be my son and I and any info would be greatly appreciated.

Large open area between point and dam being kept open by large flock of geese. North arm has 8-9 inches of good ice. Slow day bite but good evening bite!

Thanks for the info. Will be up tomorrow night and trying it Saturday.

Thanks headed down Sunday if there ain’t to much snow!
Keep it safe! JDL

Caught a lot of fish today at burchard but a lot of small fish. We finished with 17 crappie in the bucket. Best bite for us was in 23 ft of water.

So according to the Fishing Guide that is put out for Nebraska you can only fish Burchard between October and January 15th. So, if I am understanding that, we can't drive down this weekend and fish...
Anyone got any further info on this?

I read that Daryl. I am just confused I guess on the true meaning of that. How I read it is after Jan 15th no one can Ice Fish there? I am interpreting that correct?

Nope. After January 15 you can put your boat out if you can/want.

Thanks, apparently this was just a "miss-reading" issues on my part. Called the Game & Parks to get a better understanding on what is being said. Didn't really get much of an answer, other then yes we can ice fish this weekend.
