Pease be advised that due to less than favorable ice conditions on the Red River between Lockport and Lake Winnipeg, owners or occupants of ice fishing shelters may be asked to remove their shelters before the date specified in the 2005 Anglers’ Guide.

This is only a notice at this time.

Please be aware of further information notices or media updates.

Authority: Manitoba Fishery Regulations, SOR/87-509 section 38 (c); a person placing an ice-fishing shelter on any ice-covered waters shall where a fishery officer informs them that ice break-up appears imminent, remove the shelter from ice-covered waters at the direction of the fishery officer.
