Clam Plate
« on: Jan 04, 2022, 11:04 AM »
So last time I used my clam plate worked fine. Just set it back up and it is kind of making a grinding sound as it is starting to turn. Not sure what the heck is going on. Due to health issues I didn’t use it at all last season. Do I need to lubricant anything? Using a Makita drill with plenty of torque and like I said worked great the last time I used the setup. Definitely don’t like how it is sounding.

Probably needs some lube ..remove the drill and the C clips and repack the bearing ..unless your drill is the problem culpruit ..

Last year I had that problem, so I took the drill off reset it back on the clam, and it worked fine.
