Title: Washing Striker Ice Predator

Anyone have any tricks/tips for washing this stuff?  The fact that it floats so well kind of defeats the washing machine's ability to get it clean.

My bibs got pretty nasty last season, with dried fish slime on the lower legs.  I put them in the washer and followed the directions on the care label.  After hanging them and allowing them to dry, the slime marks were still there.  Then, I sprayed the nasty area with laundry pre-treat and washed them again, making sure the nasty areas were facing the bottom of the washer.  After another wash, some of the slime was still there.

i was going to jump in the lake or river with it on during the summer. was going to do a test/wash. never did.

Bathtub n dawn dish soap is how I clean hunting back packs. Would say it would work for bibs.

I would call Striker and ask them. I use Nikwax wash and their waterproofing stuff. I think you should avoid regular detergents and dish soap as it could ruin it's waterproofing.

What method worked?
Just curious, I was planning on washing mine at the end of this season.

I never did call Striker to get the lowdown from the company.  After the second washing, I declared them "clean enough" and hung them up to dry.  When I wash them again, I think I'm going to do some pre-wash scrubbing on the trouble areas with brush and mild soap in the bathtub before I put them in the washing machine.  I'm thinking that would be the way to go...

If you remember, post your results/experiences washing yours at the end of the winter.

Yes, machine wash in cold water using a mild detergent and finish by hang drying. Never use high heat to dry the garment.

i use nikwax and water proof re-newer.
