Retractible points

Has anyone tried to make a spear using bowfishing arrow points? They have barbs and screw off to retract. I think they have posibilities.

I believe someone posted a pic with points like that before.  Maybe in the "Pics of your Spear" thread?  Not sure if they make it better or not.  Probably a little less damage when removing a fish, but more work taking off the tips and making sure it is tuned correctly.

Many sturgeon spears are made as such. 

Personally, Not something I'd hassle with in a pike spear.
