Flip over shanty for spearing (insulated)
« on: Jan 19, 2013, 07:42 AM »
Going to purchase a flip over for spearing/fishing, and I have narrowed it down to two;
Frabil Predator non insulated, still has 1 1/4" poles and the Clam X2 thermal.
I prefer the Clam myself, but the Frabil is black inside while the Clam X2 I feel may let too much light in to spear.
Anyone have spearing experience with the X2?

No experience with the X2, but I have speared out of my Nanook (non-insulated) this year without any problems.

Unless you throw a tarp over the clam?
