Attack of the smelt...

Got the first pike of the season!  Wasn't a monster 35 12pds but the new spear held her with one tine!  Just wanted to let anyone who was thinking about a new spear what good work Blackhawk does!  Highlight of the day was I couldn't use live bait as swarms of smelt attacked any sucker I put down the hole...mean little *****s!

ya know you can spear them little morsels  ;D I think I'm going to put a frog gig on the end of a section from a bamboo pole and see if I cant stick a few.......It might be fun  :-\

I actually speared about 10 of them with the pike spear and caught about forty with the rod
