I have used the Automatic fisherman for two seasons now.

I really like it and it has improved my catch ratio by allot.

I do like the 27 inch version better than the 34 in version.
The 34 is for larger fish, like pike.

I have caught trout, walleye, bass, perch, crappie, whitefish, pike, and the hookup ratio is very high.

The automatic fisherman is tops for fish that take the bait run a few feet and drop it. (like trout)

Hope this helps,

Wiener

I bought one and did not like it.  it works as advertised but I found it too clumsy to pack and bring along for the use it got.  For the space it takes up you could put two pre rigged jig poles.

They are not legal in Minnesota.

i copycat made one like one on the inventions and thought they may not be legal here so at the BIG boys toy show in Watertown i asked the GFP boys and they are legal in our state but only had it out once and didn't get a hit but stared at it for hours with anticipation of it to set the hook but nothing.can't wait till next season.

thanks for that info.  I don't guess I'll be using it then, lol.  It's hard to keep track of all of the rules they have.

Minnesota is the only state which prohibits it it seems.

Ya, Minnesota. Land of 10,000 lakes and 10,000 rules on how not to fish them.

Try the E-Z jigger, compact and legal most places.
