I will be in Colorado Springs in Jan. I am looking for some information on where to fish. I am not looking for anyone's hot spots, just somewhere to wet a line or 2.

Ice fishing is going to be at least one hour away from the springs, skagway,terryall, 11 mile, antero are all 1 to 2 hours away. for open water, pueblo res  and brush hollow have open water all year and have all kinds of species in them, or if you dont want to drive too far we do have some lakes in town most of which should still be open. I would personly go to terryall or skagway, the fishing is normally good, if size isn't a big issue to you.

best bet is probably Teryall.  smaller fish but more of them with he good chance at a small pike!!!

A friend of mine used to ice some trout on Monument lake, Is it still an option? what's the 411 on Monument Lake

monument lake is good. More than 6 inches of ice. You can catch fish all over the lake, pink jigs tipped with a waxworm has worked pretty good when i go up there. the trout seem to be all the same size, but nice little stockers.
