I've been thinking of trying St.Marys in about 3 weeks.  I'm not really sure of when that freezes but i'm thinking the last weekend in oct should have good ice.  I've had icefishing on the brain since august.

We fished St.Marys on Nov. 4th last year.  The ice was 12-14 inches on the west side in the shade.  So prolly coulda fished a week earlier easy.

Theres about 50 lakes accessable from Yampa so I'm not worried-I'll hafta post my 9lb bo and 14lb mac from the flattops also..

Does anyone know if the lakes up by Red Feather are frozen yet? When I lived in Fort Collins I used to fish the lakes up by Red Feather all the time.

           By lookin at the Satellite,it looks like the north end has a little ice on 11 mile,not quite to cross creek,but by this weekend it should be good,I got a couple family members leaving for Twin Lakes the day after christmas to try for some lakers,be safe out there this year and keep the pics comin in

I fly fished the Poudre last friday, it even had thick ice covering everything but the middle. It's about 1,000' feet below Red Feather where I fished it, so Red Feather should be set to pop!

I drove by dillon res. today and there was no ice at all! goergetown was frozen over, but did not stop to check how thick be safe

the most popular section (the snake river inlet) has been frozen and fishable for the better part of a week.
