Has anyone ever tried these ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190167059812&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190167059812&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)
If so, what is you opinion on them ? are they bright enough to see from a (reasonable) distance ? Thinking about getting some, But don't want to waste my money on "junk"
Thank You in advance !!

Cant say I have used one of these. I use Frabills arctic siren. I like them, they are loud visible and easy to remove when not in use

I have used frabill Lil' Shiner Tip-Up Light and I do like them, seem to work really good. I assume the Frabill Arctic Fire Tip-Up Light would also be a decent light, But neither have an alarm which would be nice when I'm not paying attention..

I used to make my own with mercury switches and LED's. Worked great, but I do love my light houses. They are a great set up and worth the money.

Try this website. Nice lights and easy to see what is going on. They will only work on T-bar type tip ups though.

Hit up a Dollar srore. I rigged up five tip ups for $5 with there window alarms.

Yep, those dollar store window alarms are the ticket. Can't beat them for a buck, and I haven't had one fail on me yet. They seem to last and last and last even in the really cold temps. I just zip-tie the magnet part onto the flagpole, and I line up the siren part next to the magnet (make sure it's in the right place first), and it has a sticky-backed tape that keeps it secure.
