Lake Champlain
« on: Oct 03, 2009, 09:27 AM »
Myself, brother and some friends are looking to make a trip to Champlain this winter for some Pike action. We've decided to fish on the norther part of Champlain. Probably near the Swanton Bay area or North Hero. Most likely staying for 3 night and 4 days and looking to rent a shanty. Was just wondering if anyone from this site might have some feedback or suggestions for Champlain or location. Much appreciated with any input. sorry if it seems like I'm trying to rush the hard water action but I'm not. Just would like to get plans rolling because It'll be upon us before we know it!

Thanks, Chuck

I try Martins Store in Highgate 802-868-4459
or
Holiday Harbor Lodge in N. Hero.  http://www.holidayharborlodge.com/

I believe they both rent shanties.

Hope this helps

a vehicle needs to be registered  and insured to go out on the ice.  the ice is considered a state highway. however you do not need V.A.S.T. to be on the ice
