6" K Drill to Clam Plate Adapter Confusion? Help Appreciated!

Hey Guys,

So I have the older version of the clam plate, i believe 2nd gen.  Have to remove the chuck, but has the rubber coated handles.  I recently purchased a 6" K drill for it.  What adapter do I need?  I tried one but It didn't work.  here is a link to the one I tried:

the adapter from clam is for the GEN 4 plates. Gen1 to3 will require the adapter from vexilar or in your case the one you posted about from eddy's warehouse(sold to them by vexilar).
