Fish hit great during those times but the obviouse is the conditions.

Ya you might not think the ice was safe, but that was an inlet that we  fished near in March the ice to the side was 16-24" thick and we did walk over there drilling holes all the way to the spot. I never did go over to the trap I only took the shot. So besides all that ,wasn't it a great picture? 8)

That looks like a Shappell 3000.  Now, with a name like Cubefisher, I hope it wasn't a Shappell 6000!
It really looks like a picture of me (at Moosehead last year).....but the other stuff around the outside
confirms it wasn't me.....oh boy!  That was exciting!

Camping out on comet Pond for the night in Central MA, Coldest day of the year

 This is the only one I could think of to submit.

Look in front of Iditarod winner Lance Mackeys sled and you can see two bald eagles feeding at our previous hole.
It was -35 below at Lake Louise, Alaska. The wind was gusting at 40+ MPH so who knows what the wind chill was. By noon the sun came out and it hit about 1 above, we all took a nap on the ice because it was so hot out! we caught 2 lakers and some burbots. Later that day, a snowstorm blew in and  you literally could not see your buddy 10 feet away. we had to navigate blindly 6miles to the lodge (to buy more beer, it was more like MGD slushies by the time we got back with it) and then relocate the guys and gear. It was a great trip though and im ready to do it again this season. got 2 months till ice up around them parts.

Ok! Here is the big winter secret. Pitch the seat. Get yourself a sheet of the pink styrofoam and cut the thing to fit. The minute you sit down you'll think your back in the warm shack. Trust me. The stock seat only goes back on in the summer.

Yah, we've used the styrofoam and it works well, this was a rented camp and that's what was there.

BTW, we used BLUE styrofoam.
