They are fishing on both the Interlochen and Karlin sides.

I did not check the ice though.

Fished green Lake tonight Saturday 1-29-2022

9" of ice with 8" being clear black ice.

Some nights can be really good on Green and some can be not so good. tonight was not so good.

Very few fish coming through and not very often. They were about 10' off the bottom when they did come through. 

I have fished nights where it was solid red from 20 to 40 feet, but tonight was not one of those nights.

Missed a dozen or so and ended up catching four. Talked to a couple of other guys and they had the same sort of luck.

Thanks for the report Joe, I have more bad nights than good on Green that's for sure.  Getting all the gear together, finding a place to park, tracking out, setting up, spending some time shanty to shanty with 200 of your closest friends, it's all about the experience not the smelties, lol

I agree completely,  getting out is great, any fish are an added bonus
