Sweet deal and yea ill have to get the banner too... have you guys thought about bringing banners or decals to sell or give away??? And yea i figured that way if there was a sign in sheet the mod can use it for a later gathering so when you guys are trying to figure everything out ya'll know who came and stuff... and about the open water really?

yup, after he left I chatted with the baitshop owner and told him the guy must not be an Iceshanty.com member other wise he would have known better.

Oh man, that cracks me up!
We definitely won't be selling anything. The banner I have is just the back side of an old Corona banner. I bought black stickers and numbers and made my own. I'm not sure if I can score some actual IS decals or not. I will if I can. Another good idea.
We'll definitely make a good time of it.

hi everyone, i'm from brooklyn, ny and there is no ice around me so i've decided to travel north to fish at least one time this year. its around a 5 hour drive to adirondack region for me so the plan is to drive through the night and get to the lake around 5am or so. can anyone tell me how the ice is and where i can park, if there is a state park or something. also not trying to ask for special holes on the lake but maybe a part of the lake to fish, shallower parts. i'll be on foot, no snowmobile or quad and usually fish for panfish, perch, crappie at 15 feet of water or lower, hand over hand. wouldnt mind to meet up with you guys as well.

Go towards whitehall ny. route 22 goes over it and that is where the boat launch and fishing pier is.

How's the ice up there? I am really hoping that I can drive the heavy chevy out there. You won't be able to miss that sucker out there. It will also be my bed. Plus I wont have to carry everything out there.

Too bad it ended up being that weekend. I would have been game to travel for this but that weekend I have a cabin rented on Wellsley Island for my 2 boys, my father and I. Maybe next year. Have fun...tight lines
