CHOWDAIRE
I think people were packing up and leaving the bite was slow and difficult , the conditions really weren't deteriorating just a pain with the wet snow and slush

I had to crop the branch hole out of that picture. That's classified information. I didn't want to get busted for posting it on the interwebs.
Hey now!! There will be no mention of that tree branch hole on the interwebs!!!!! That’s a VERY high security spot! Thank You for keeping a good cover up in that pic!!!😂😜

Bite was good! Limit in 1 hour. Got the four wheeler stuck in some slush on the way back in. Nothing to crazy to get out. Hopefully some of these cold nights will stiffen it up for easy driving. Only about 4 inches of snow where I was. Measured 10inches of solid black ice where I was!

Fished Friday and half Saturday. I love this lake. One day you pull them up fast, the next you need a can opener to get them out.  A

Fished 930am-Dark. Couldn’t believe the amount of fish marked but would touch the bait. Did manage a jumbo and I lost another real nice fish at the hole. Wind wasn’t all that fun.

Made it out with the wheeler. Slow going but no real trouble spots. Def got slushy after sunup. Slow bite. Got a few short eyes and a nice perch. Wind sucked after about 10am. Hit Chapman in am and Lewis after some chow. Stayed past sundown. Clear skies and the stars were popping. 4:30 am tomorrow we do it again!

Any made the trek from constantia to Dakin by machine? Just wondering if there’s any cracks or issues making it out there from behind circle K

Went out yesterday afternoon, south shore.  tough walking. No trails to follow.  30-35 feet.  Wind rattling at 20mph+.  Happy to get a few Jumbos!

Finally was able to get a consistent bite together today fished 800am-3pm and caught all my fish between 10-11. Managed 4 short eyes and 2 jumbos. Still a lot of lookers but it was nice to catch a couple fish. Hopefully tomorrow changes the bite

Prolly the worst day I’ve had on Lady O. Started at 18 worked my way all the way up to 32 fow. Drove around 10 miles to different marks on my navionics and couldn’t even mark anything. Ended with 2 perch. That top snow hardened a lot from yesterday and most of the slush has hardened. Still ran into some soft spots but managed my way out. Should be perfect for next weekend if we can keep fading snow. Have a great day guys!!

I hope so , got enough for a meal as they are good fish and of course I caught a few short eyes which don’t count in my book  , my bud BMV crushed the keeper eyes but , then tried to find perch but with no luck just more eyes he tossed back a few in the 20” range and kept 3 nice eaters

Did you guys see this tow job on Lake Champlain?
 https://www.syracuse.com/outdoors/2021/02/ice-fishermen-to-the-rescue-tow-downed-plane-on-frozen-lake-champlain-video.html?fbclid=IwAR28V-FdZFhS12LP4ROZPJ8hsdvAxLvX8hBsgWVYBsw_XUkv20popFL9urI

Huh. Missed this and that's an area I fish regularly. Those planes fly overhead regularly. They'll usually give ya a tip o' the wings too. Cool stuff 👍

Good day for me today! Found consistent action on 14” wallers off LP in 26’ in the am. Got 8 releasers, swear 6 were 14” on the button. Best day on O as far as shear numbers go. Headed off to grab a bite and ran out of Constantia with the wheeler looking for a pm bite. Not a great move. Ice was a bit more variable with a fair amount of slush patches. A few decent cracks and heaves out there too. We could cross them but had to inspect/spud and run a ways to find an ideal spot. Pretty slow, had a few walleye come through.  I did manage a nice healthy 17” male in 21’. No perch.  Headed back to the numbers bite for one more am.

Fished yesterday afternoon from 3-5. Ended up with 2 keeper eyes and one short. Lost 2 more keepers at the hole. Wind came up pretty good while I was out there. It was def an awesome sunset last night.

Fished the south east shore Sunday in 32'. Activity all day on the graph. The two of us iced 26 perch over 10", 3 walleyes. Released another 10 or 12 short eyes. All on jigged swim baits and minnow heads. Got some good buckeyes from Lakeside outfitters. Black and gold triggered them the best.
