I got out today and the ice was decent, 3-4 black ice and some frozen slush on top of that, I found 6-8 total everywhere we went, we got out to the dropoff. Got one keeper wally, nice to get out and forget my heater, it was fun though.

I wouldn't reccomend sleds with heavy loads yet, i'm not gonna bring my Caddy out yet as it weighs 1000 pounds with my old ass on it. This ice will go to pot Mon-Tuesday maybe, but the layer in between has frozen solid at least. Things are looking up. It might just melt the top A bit, who knows.

I got out right at sundown and fished for about 45min. It was worth it as I got one of the fattest walleyes I’ve caught on the lake. About 26” with a massive girth. Released to get bigger.

True! Just wondering if people are fishing it? And what conditions are they finding.

Yeah I’ll be working in February but it won’t be 60-80 hours a week like January. I’ll be out there crossing eyes 😜

There is a new bait shop on the corner of Lewis Point Road and Route 31.

Nice job on the fish.

I wouldn't take it to Heart, Seems like this Trapp clown , has to be arrogant to everyone that has a question and don't live on the Lake.

Nah Tapper is actually a great guy and is t being arrogant someone asking a question that if they just read back a few pages would have the answer to their question.
If you sit around all day and do nothing your a bum, but if you sit in a boat all day or in a shanty and do nothing they call you a fisherman

well if  you read the thread it is  clear to see (except for the last 2 days) the only place  we been fishing Oneida  was   sylvan beach theres  even a  live web cam to see if thiers people out  on the ice  ....almost every person has posted the ice isn't the best  and to carry a spud and safety gear .... now  not only  are you people to lazy to check the ice your self your  to lazy to read  ...........so heres the  only ice report i'm giving is, is the ice safe...  NO...  are people out   look at the web cam !  I suggest you carry a spud   ice picks  and a throw  rope....... this isn't to be mean   it's the truth
